Birchmier Construction, Inc. – Birchmier.com – with a primary focus on commercial construction seeks a candidate for the following position: Project Manager

Duties:
* Oversee and direct construction activities from conception to completion
* Participate in design process and permit submittals
* Review subcontractor shop drawings and submittals based on the design drawings
* Prepare and update the construction schedule on a weekly basis based on percentages of completion
* Prepare estimates for change orders or value engineering on the project
* Document effectively and professionally in writing and orally with Owners, design consultants, and governing authorities
* Update financial project forecasts on a monthly basis
* Prepare subcontractor scopes of work effectively to encompass all items in a subcontract to avoid frivolous change orders or scope busts
* Manage a timely project closeout package for a professional package at turnover
* Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship complies with specifications and meets schedule requirements
* Prepare monthly contractor draw requests and review with architect and/or owner
* Perform site inspections with clients while reviewing details of the contract, timeline and payment schedule
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum six years of construction experience
* Minimum four years in a leadership capacity on commercial projects
* Proficient in the following areas: estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, supervision, client relationships, on-screen take offs, communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and the ability to learn relevant applications
